The questions to ask before choosing.
What is Code 95?
It confirms a professional driver’s qualification for commercial goods or passenger transport, subject to the applicable rules and exemptions. It does not add a driving licence category: you still need a valid licence for the vehicle you drive.
Can a foreign driver take the training in Lithuania?
Eligibility depends on your training route and circumstances. Normal residence, the country where your employer is established and work authorisation may determine where you can train. Ask the provider to check your situation before you book or travel.
Can I study online before travelling?
A remote component may be available where permitted and specifically confirmed by the provider. Ask which parts of your exact programme can be completed remotely, how attendance is checked and which sessions require you to be in Lithuania.
Can I finish during a visit of one to five days?
A short visit may describe a provider’s remaining in-person schedule after earlier training. It is not a universal duration for the complete qualification process. Get a written plan covering your course, practice, assessments and document appointments before arranging travel.
How do I get a driver qualification card?
Where a separate card is appropriate, apply through Regitra after completing the required training. Regitra receives completed qualification-training data automatically. You must still meet the document requirements and attend the required appointment. A card may be issued when Code 95 cannot be entered on your driving licence.
Is a Lithuanian qualification card recognised abroad?
The card confirms the relevant professional driver qualification for EU/EEA transport. Keep your driving licence valid and check the requirements for your work and transport activity. Qualification recognition is separate from immigration status and permission to work in a particular country.
Does Code 95 give me a job or a work permit?
No. Training and qualification documents do not themselves guarantee employment, a visa, residence or work permission. Check the destination country’s requirements for your citizenship and situation.
How can I check that a school is suitable?
Verify its current training licence and the exact programme offered. Then confirm that it accepts your documents and circumstances, teaches in a language you understand and can provide a clear schedule and itemised price. A translated website alone does not establish the teaching language or acceptance of third-country nationals.
